William A Van Horn, MD is a Diplomat of the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry with more than twenty years experience providing proper and effective medical treatment for patients suffering with brain illness. Dr. Van Horn completed medical school at the University of South Alabama and received specialty training in a biological and neurological based psychiatry program at West Virginia University.
He had the privilege of working with some of America╩╝s top AlzheimerΓÇÖs specialist during his Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Emory University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the AlzheimerΓÇÖs Association of South Carolina.

Dr. Van Horn has extensive experience treating patients at all stages of AlzheimerΓÇÖs Disease. He has served as the medical director of a geriatric hospital unit specializing in advanced stage AlzheimerΓÇÖs patients. His passion is to restore dignity to the patient and relationship with the family. In his outpatient medical practice, Dr. Van Horn works to minimize the risk of significant memory loss while striving to maximize the quality of life for both his AlzheimerΓÇÖs patients and their families over the many years of their journey.
